These photos are of a recent project in Weybridge (Surrey) where the design brief was to secure planning and building regulations approval for the design of a timber frame garden room at the bottom of the garden, where the client could escape the hustle and bustle of the house. With the client spending more time at home (away from the office) it was important that the proposed garden room included a much needed study along with a large entertainment room that friends and family could enjoy.
The client required a low maintenance structure, so we designed a fully insulated building which was constructed with powder-coated aluminium doors and windows (fitted with a acoustic glazing), recycled plastic cladding, natural roof slates along with vaulted ceilings and acoustic plasterboard. To complete the look we designed and constructed a new composite decked area to the side and rear. The outbuilding looks amazing and has turned out to be a complete success.
